Tentacles

Poetry has enabled me to communicate, given me the confidence to perform on stage, and allowed me to rationalise the thoughts in my head. Now I want to lead a network to enable others to benefit.

Tentacles is a new collective and network for disabled and D/deaf writers, based in Nottingham. A friendly, un-patronising space for you to write and challenge your creativity. Led by Neal Pike and guest tutors, Tentacles provides support and inspiration for an open collective of writers of various disabilities through a year-long programme of workshops focusing on poetry and writing for performance. The project will culminate with a performance and a publication, and the workshops and exercises will be made available online to all. Tentacles is funded by the commissioning programme UNLIMITED, which itself is run by Shape Arts and Arts Admin. The workshop programme is supported by Nottingham UNESCO City of Literature and Nottingham Playhouse.

You can join Tentacles at any time. Please go to the Nottingham Playhouse website here and fill in a confidential form.
